#1 Federal Pell Grant

As can be figured out by the title of the program, Pell grant is a US government funded initiative and this is awarded at Caltech on the basis of financial needs to undergraduate students and to be eligible for Pell grant at Caltech students must demonstrate financial need, have not completed a baccalaureate degree, and are eligible for federal financial aid programs. 

Pell grant US program is valued at up to $5,730 with the amount varying for different students whereas final value of the scholarship is decided on the basis of the student’s financial income and enrollment status. The scholarship does not require a separate application and the students who have filled out the FAFSA form are automatically considered for the program and this pell grant program have a duration of a maximum of 6 years.

#2 Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

This is also a federal government funded initiative for undergraduate students in Caltech which is a need based US scholarship program awarded to students who demonstrate financial needs and the academic performances of the students are not in consideration during the decision making process. 

Similar to the Federal Pell Grant students who must have filled out the FAFSA form are automatically considered for this program so now if you want to be eligible you must express and prove financial need, must have not completed your baccalaureate degree, and must be eligible for federal financial aid programs whereas this is valued at up to $4,000.

#3 Caltech-Fulbright Scholarships

Under this Fulbright scholarship in Caltech, students of other countries are welcomed to the US for Ph.D. and Master’s studies in various fields and the application is to be submitted through the Fulbright Commission or U.S Embassy whereas under this program students are overseen during their stay in the US.
