Hey students, here’s an exciting opportunity for you! The University of East Anglia is offering the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year. If you’re from a developing country and looking to do a full-time master’s in the UK, this is for you.
The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships offer a gateway to advanced learning and development. Founded in memory of Allan and Nesta Ferguson by their son and daughter-in-law, this charitable trust aims to foster international friendship and understanding through educational opportunities

This Allan and Nesta Ferguson scholarship will provide sponsorship for one year and cover everything – tuition and a £12,000 grant for living expenses. You can apply if you’re from one of these countries listed in the United Nations Human Development Index Report:
Nigeria, Haiti, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Angola, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Benin, Nepal, Congo, Pakistan, Lesotho, Guinea, Gambia, Madagascar, Papua New Guinea, Malawi, Mali, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Eritrea, Yemen, Liberia, Guinea-Bissau, Central African Republic, Ghana, Togo, Chad, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Congo (DRC), Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Burundi, Eswatini, Solomon Islands, Rwanda, Zambia, South Sudan, Uganda, Syria, Kenya, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, Senegal, Cambodia, and Comoros.
This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need to applicants from any of the listed countries. Eligible candidates must not have previously undertaken studies lasting a year or more in a developed country, must demonstrate financial need, agree to return to their home country upon completion of their studies, and must have a good bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
Each Allan & Nesta Ferguson scholarship will fund the student’s international tuition fees and provide them with a maintenance grant of £12,000 so that they can live in the UK and be able to cover the costs of living/ travel/ UK study visa. Some scholarships, like those at SOAS, have an award amount of £32,500, which is allocated towards tuition fees and any remainder is paid out directly to the student. So in short this scholarship will pay for your university fees, give you money to live on, pay for your travel to and from the UK, cover your visa costs, and give you some extra money for other needs.

Application Procedure (Easy Method)
First, you need to apply for a master’s course at the University of East Anglia. Once you get a Student Application Number, use it to fill out the online application form for the Allan & Nesta Ferguson scholarship. And please make sure to submit your online application before April 19, 2024 because that is the application deadline.
